BCS

10 11 2009

In the final stretch and gearing up for our client presentation, it was very good to see a real presentation from Jeff about the BCS.

Overall, he was extremely professional, and it is clear that his team is very skilled in giving presentation.  They found the smallest details and implemented them so that the presentation flowed smoothly and linked together.  Even using pictures to indicate a pattern that would be followed seemed like nothing less than pure genius to me at the time.

Too see how they didn’t get the business and still had such a professional and well thought out plan makes me realize that in the real world, there is a lot of great competition.  It didn’t matter if they did everything perfect, if the client didn’t completely identify with the intricacies of their campaign, they weren’t going to get the business, and they didn’t.  This is really a humbling fact, and it makes the things that we learn in class that much more important, because maybe the knowledge that we are in-taking can be used to put us over the edge later on in life!

Our group is already talking about how we can be extra efficient in our presentation so that we can flow and be memorable to the audience, just like the BCS presentation.  We are looking for trends in our presentation so that we can package it in a more desirable way. We fully acknowledge that we dont need to be as professional as Jeff’s presentation, but we would like to try to emulate the professional deliver as close as possible.
