Perhaps the biggest disappointment in the NBA this year (and last year) is Allen Iverson.
He started off the season in Memphis, and he electrocuted an excited city which led to increased season ticket holder turnout, but here is the catch: he didn’t even stay on the team long enough to make his home debut!
Allen Iverson ended up taking a hiatus to “reflect on personal matters,” which apparently meant that he was going to take some time to think about how bad his team sucked and how the heck he was going to complain to get out of there. For those who are unaware, Allen Iverson played in the NBA Finals maybe 8 years ago, and for a player that is still capable of putting up a 35 point game, this is a tragedy.
He has displayed motives so selfish that no team in the NBA wants his poison to strangle their locker room. He is virtually unsignable because of his lack of respect in any establishment. Allen Iverson is facing a tough decision: either suck it up and come off of the bench… or enjoy life without basketball.
