Former Miss California needs a serious hint from some close friends or professionals if she plans on ever being taken seriously again.
In my opinion, the only way to get out of any public scandal is not to take the high road. It also is definitely not about being “right”. The only way to get out of any public scandal is to be completely honest, and to apologize as if it were honest.
Ms. Prejean took a turn for the absolute worst when she made her appearance on Larry King Live. Even if she had an agreement to not discuss her tape before going on the show, stating in a very “bitchy” manner that “Larry, you are being unprofessional,” was no way to get out of the scenario. She showed absolutely no remorse, and in fact, she was acting as if it didn’t really matter.
Larry wasn’t asking for a deposition, he simply wanted to know how she felt about the situation. Carrie Prejean tried to knock down Larry King on his own show!
Next time, I think Carrie needs to understand that if she wants people to like her again, she has to give people something to like. It is a natural conclusion: people enjoy nice and truthful people.
First, however, I think Carrie needs to do some searching into how she actually feels about her situation.
